Data analysis of Delcath Systems' Phase III trial of melphalan to be commenced

Delcath Systems, Inc., a medical technology company testing its proprietary treatment system for metastatic cancers to the liver, announced today that sufficient events have been reached to allow data analysis to begin on its Phase III trial. The trial uses the drug melphalan to treat patients with metastatic melanoma in the liver.

UNEP should work to bring about safe alternatives to DDT for malaria vector control

Griffith research unlocks more about cancer

New strategy involving three-pronged approach may keep lung cancer aside

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death worldwide, responsible for some 1.59 million deaths a year. That figure is due, in part, to the fact that lung cancer often returns after what seems at first to be successful treatment. However, the recurring cancer is often resistant to the chemotherapy and other drugs that originally drove it into remission.
