AHDI and MTIA support healthcare reform package

Single dose of Ritalin may raise awareness of mistakes: Study

The study, by Dr Rob Hester from the Department of Psychological Sciences and colleagues at the Queensland Brain Institute, investigated how the brain monitors ongoing behavior for performance errors – specifically failures of impulse control. This study found that a single dose of methylphenidate (Ritalin) results in significantly greater activity in the brain's error monitoring network and improved volunteers' awareness of their mistakes.

ACCESS receives $6.7M NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) has received a $6.7 million Clinical and Translational Science Award grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to construct a community-based research center. The goal of the center's research will be to engage the community and reduce racial and ethnic disparities in health care.
