Poniard Pharmaceuticals enters into $20M committed equity financing facility with Commerce Court Small Cap Value Fund

Poniard Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative oncology therapies, today announced that it has entered into a committed equity financing facility under which it may sell up to $20 million of its registered common stock to Commerce Court Small Cap Value Fund, Ltd. over an approximately 18-month period. Poniard is not obligated to utilize any of the facility and remains free to enter into other financing transactions.

Research study on HPV vaccination efficacy for boys and girls

Infectious virus particles can bind to the surface of red blood cells: MHRP researchers

Free infectious HIV-1 is widely thought to be the major form of the virus in the blood of infected persons. U.S. Military HIV Research Program (MHRP) researchers, however, have demonstrated that essentially all of the infectious virus particles can bind to the surface of red blood cells isolated from each of 30 normal (non-infected) human donors.

But it directs the health department to decide whether gray-area expenses, such as health-and-wellness programs offered by insurers, count as care or overhead."
