Mount Sinai Researchers find social isolation during key developmental windows drives long term changes to activity patterns of neurons involved in initiating social approach in an animal model.
Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has been awarded $7 million of a $56.8 million grant from the National Institutes of Health. The remainder of the award will be distributed to other members of the Los Angeles Basin Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). This award, to be distributed over five years, will fund biomedical research with the objective of reducing the time it takes a laboratory discovery to become a clinical reality.
Doctors said the heart society meeting was an important opportunity to learn about new research in their field and see new products on the market. Unlike in many other areas of medicine, they said, electrophysiologists work hand-in-hand with device company representatives to program implantable defibrillators and diagnose problems.
Actavis plc, during its Investor Meeting in New York, today provided a detailed look into its standalone global pharmaceutical development pipeline that supports the Company's long-term organic growth. The Company provided details regarding key development programs, including clinical data, development milestones and an overview of potential market opportunities, as well as an updated look at Actavis' world-class generics pipeline, which continues to hold an industry-leading position in First-to-File opportunities in the U.S.
