Western Dental Services, Inc., California's neighborhood dentist and one of the nation's leading dental health maintenance organizations, is opening a combined family dentistry, specialty, cosmetic, and orthodontics office in Porterville, Calif., on August 13, 2010. The office will provide a full range of family dentistry services, specialty care, and cosmetic dentistry, including white fillings, veneers, crowns, dental implants, ZOOM! whitening, oral surgery, periodontics, pedodontics, and complete orthodontic services by certified specialists and experienced providers.
Patients with Type 2 Diabetes may face an increased risk for Barrett's Esophagus (BE), regardless of other risk factors including smoking, alcohol consumption, obesity and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), according to research unveiled today at the American College of Gastroenterology's (ACG) 77th Annual Scientific meeting in Las Vegas.
Researchers have developed wearable wireless monitors that contain stretchable electronics and would provide long term health data about the adults, babies and children. These sensors are an advantage over the presently used devices because they are free from the risk of skin allergic reactions and injuries that are associated with conventional adhesive sensors containing conductive gel formulations.
Executives from pharmaceutical companies and health care payer and provider organizations convened at the "Selling Pharmaceuticals in 2015" forum in Philadelphia to discuss mutually beneficial partnerships that, if implemented, could replace the traditional model of selling drugs on price, features and benefits with a new model that focuses on quantifying and communicating total value.
Simple soil remediation can substantially reduce levels of the toxic metal lead in the blood of children living in heavily contaminated areas, says a new study conducted in Bangladesh.
