Sascha Drewlo, Ph.D., assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology for the Wayne State University School of Medicine, has secured a $1.25 million grant from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health to study the role of approved drugs to improve placental function.
Medtronic, Inc. today announced the kick-off of an educational campaign aimed at raising awareness among women of overactive bladder (OAB), a serious condition that can severely impact patients' lives. This new campaign, conducted in partnership with leading patient advocacy groups focused on women's health will help to raise awareness of the prevalence of bladder control problems and encourage patients to find effective treatment options – including and beyond medications.
The two-day global 'Call to Action Summit 2015' concluded today with Health Ministers and heads of country delegations from 22 countries adopting the DELHI DECLARATION on 'ending preventable maternal and child deaths'. The declaration was developed as an outcome of the high-level ministerial conclave held yesterday during the summit.
