Titan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a Loan and Security Agreement with Oxford Finance Corporation ("Oxford") for a $3 million term loan. The loan will bear interest at an approximate rate of 13% per annum and be payable over three years. Working with the Deutsches Zentrum für Diabetesforschung and the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum they were able to show that upon deprivation of food a certain protein is produced that adjusts the metabolism in the liver.
