The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for rapid and accurate nucleic acid detection at the point of care. To meet this need, scientists from the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology have developed a novel amplification-free rapid SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid detection platform based on hybrid capture fluorescence immunoassay (HC-FIA).
It comes as no surprise that people tend to enjoy a better quality of life when they're able to perform daily activities (eating, dressing, toileting, getting up from a bed or chair, bathing, and walking around the house, for example) without assistance.
Cancer diagnostics company Biomoda, Inc. is working with the Saccomanno Research Institute to advance Biomoda's patented system for measuring the photon emission rate of CyPath-stained cells to detect early-stage lung cancer.
In Finland, the health data collected in national registries already serves fairly well the needs of clinical care and academic fundamental research, and statistical purposes.
