Scientists at UCL have discovered new biomarkers, which may identify those people with Type 1 diabetes who would benefit from the immunotherapy drug Abatacept, a finding which could eventually help thousands manage the disease more effectively.
InterSystems Corporation today highlighted the successful completion of an enterprise-scale integration initiative at Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC). With the migration from legacy integration software to the InterSystems Ensemble® rapid integration and development platform, SHC is now processing more than 2.2 million HL7 messaging transactions on a daily basis.
Even though deaths from prostate cancer death have fallen in the U.S. since screening became more common, new research is suggesting that this does not justify the need for such tests.
Carper wrote to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on July 29 and requested the agency establish a process to ensure valid identification numbers on reimbursed prescriptions under the Part D program.
