A new study indicates that cancer may have negative impacts on both the physical and mental health of individuals as they age. Published early online in CANCER, a peer-reviewed journal of the American Cancer Society, the study suggests that cancer increases the risk for certain health issues above and beyond normal aging. This is likely due, in part, to decreased physical activity and stress associated with cancer diagnosis and treatment.
A recent review of research published in the journal Diseases has shown that anti-inflammatory diets can be useful in preventing severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection or reducing the severity of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, has allocated a total of 1,351,400 doses of H1N1 vaccine to Pennsylvania to date, the state Department of Health announced today.
