A new study from Kaiser Permanente Colorado is one of the first to show that an intensive population management program that matches heart disease patients to personal nurses and clinical pharmacy specialists not only reduces the risk of death but reduces health care costs as well.
Scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and partner organizations from across the country are launching a major field project on the northern Front Range of Colorado this month to track the origins of summertime ozone, an invisible but harmful pollutant.
Chaetocin, a mycotoxin that increases oxidative stress, can complement the activity of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in chronic myeloid leukaemia by overcoming innate resistance mediated by secreted bone marrow stromal cytokines and growth factors, researchers report.

A recent study by researchers from Poland, published in the journal Vaccines, shows how levels of IgA and IgG antibodies specific to the spike glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2 increase in both breast milk and serum samples of mothers following vaccination against COVID-19 – with important implications for further vaccine planning endeavors.
