A gene that plays many fundamental roles in cells throughout the body has, for the first time, been implicated in human disease, according to researchers at the Duke Center for Human Genetics.
Solid Biosciences announced today that new data from two preclinical studies reinforce the potential of its investigational microdystrophin gene therapy, SGT-001, to be an effective treatment approach for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Over the last couple of weeks, the coronavirus has spread to various cities in China, as well as other countries. The death toll has reached 80 while more than 2,000 people have been infected. Chine health experts warn that the ability of the virus to spread is getting stronger, warning people to become vigilant and protect themselves from contracting the illness.
