The results of a physician survey published this week in JAMA show that a majority physicians look to lawyers, insurance companies, drug and device manufacturers and even patients to bear the responsibility of controlling health care costs.
Researchers at the University of Florida, USA, led by Dr. K. Wang have demonstrated that inhibition of Rho-associated kinase (ROCK) and subsequent cofilin dephosphorylation is mediating neurite outgrowth in PC12 cells.
The sight of a face offers the brain something special. More than a set of features, it conveys the emotions, intent, and identity of the whole individual. The same is not true for the body; cues such as posture convey some social information, but the image of a body does not substitute for a face.
