InspireMD Ltd. is announcing today the availability of a new and improved delivery system for its MGuard coronary stent system. The new delivery system, which has already been introduced in selected regions around the world, will now make its launch in South America during SOLACI 2010, taking place at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 11th-13th.

Another FDA-approved targeted cancer drug, sunitinib (SutentTM, Pfizer), may be associated with cardiac toxicity, report researchers at Children's Hospital Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston), and Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia).
Researchers from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania analyzed the largest cohort to date of pediatric patients with high-risk neuroblastoma treated with proton radiation therapy, finding both that proton therapy was effective at reducing tumors and demonstrated minimal toxicity to surrounding organs.
