People who lift weights are less likely to have metabolic syndrome—a cluster of risk factors linked to heart disease and diabetes, reports a study in the October issue of The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, official research journal of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
On Thursday, January 7, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and the U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Regina Benjamin will visit a school-based flu vaccination clinic at Carlin Springs Elementary in Arlington, Virginia, where local elementary schoolchildren will receive their second dose of the H1N1 vaccine.
Our project is to raise money to create a school dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children with developmental disabilities and learning disorders. Linked-UP Academy, LLC School will be committed in delivering services with compassion, work from a team approach, and provide what is in the self-interest of every individual and family we serve.
Researchers have identified a resistance protein that allows bacteria to survive chlorhexidine, a disinfectant commonly used in wipes, cleansers and mouthwashes in hospitals.
