Myriad Genetics, Inc. today announced that its Prolaris test has been included in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines) for all men with localized prostate cancer, regardless of their risk category.
Stereological techniques allow biologists to create quantitative, three-dimensional descriptions of biological structures from two-dimensional images of tissue viewed under the microscope. For example, they can accurately estimate the size of a particular subcellular compartment, the total length of a mass of blood vessels, or the number of neurons or synapses in a particular region of the brain.
Helping to streamline electronic documentation processes for perioperative care, CSC and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) announced today that Surgical Information Systems (SIS), the perioperative IT specialist, will offer the AORN SYNTEGRITYTM Standardized Perioperative Framework (SPF) within its nationally recognized suite of perioperative management solutions.
