3SBio Inc., a leading China-based biotechnology company focused on researching, developing, manufacturing and marketing biopharmaceutical products, today announced it has entered into an exclusive licensing deal with PharmAbcine Inc. for the development, manufacturing and marketing of DIG-KT, a bi-specific monoclonal antibody ("mAb") targeting both VEGFR2/KDR and Tie-2 pathways for cancer in the territory of Greater China (including mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau) and Korea.
A study led by Dr Marcus Cooke at the University of Leicester and funded by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) UK is looking at whether consuming caffeine during pregnancy might affect the unborn baby's risk of developing leukaemia in childhood.
The mainstay immune system protein TRAF6 plays an unexpected, key role activating a cell signaling molecule that in mutant form is associated with cancer growth, researchers at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center report in the Aug. 28 edition of Science.
The National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food and Agriculture are announcing an investment of more than $140 million to establish seven artificial intelligence institutes in the U.S. Two of the seven will be led by teams at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
