NewHope Bariatrics Surgery Center announced today that its new bariatric-focused surgery center in The Colony has received accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.
Cardiac muscle degeneration (cardiomyopathy) is the most common cause of severe cardiac dysfunction and life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias in children. These severe disorders often lead to consideration of heart transplant. However, their actual cause - the genetic basis - has been poorly characterized.
Axiogenesis AG and iPS Academia Japan Inc. (Kyoto, Japan) announced that they have executed a non-exclusive agreement with iPS Academia (Kyoto, Japan) through which Axiogenesis obtains worldwide access to the extensive portfolio of induced pluripotent stem cell technology for iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and other cell types, pioneered by Professor Shinya Yamanaka, Center for iPS Cell Research and Application at the University of Kyoto, Japan.
Medicaid managed-care plans reported an average ratio of one primary-care provider for every 584 beneficiaries, according to a recent survey.
