Eden Carlson, a two year old child had fallen into the family swimming pool. She was rushed to medical care but her heart had stopped beating for over two hours. A team of doctors used an innovative therapy with a combination of new oxygen therapies and the child was revived of the brain damage that she had suffered.

Those who envision a long, leisurely recovery in a hospital or at home may find that the abrupt transition-and new responsibilities in rehab-leaves their heads spinning.
Scientists from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and UCL (University College London) have identified what they believe could be a cause of pre-term premature rupture of the fetal membrane (PPROM), which accounts for 40 per cent of pre-term births, and is the main reason for infant death world-wide.
