Researchers at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine have determined how F. nucleatum - a common oral bacteria often implicated in tooth decay - accelerates the growth of colon cancer. The study was published online in the journal EMBO Reports.
New research shows that highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) is very cost-effective, despite the high price tag. However, the study also shows that reimbursement to physicians treating patients with HIV is critically low, threatening patients' access to care.

ACH-1625 is a potent small molecule inhibitor of HCV protease, an enzyme necessary for viral replication. The drug candidate was discovered and is being advanced by Achillion.
