Medical noncompliance - or failure to follow the doctor's orders - is estimated to increase healthcare costs in the US by $100 billion per year. Patients sometimes opt not to take medicines, for instance, because the side effects are unbearable or the dosing regimens are too complicated. But medical noncompliance may also stem from sheer inertia - the tendency to stay in the current state, even when that state is undesirable.
Zilico Ltd – a developer of a pioneering cervical cancer diagnostic system - has been selected by the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, to be part of a unique program across India.
A research group led by Osaka University and Panasonic Corporation developed a method for making a prompt, exhaustive isolation of olfactory receptors (ORs) responding to the odorant of interest. This achievement will enable quick and easy exhaustive analysis of ORs responding to specific odorants, which previously required a great deal of time and effort. These results may be applied to biosensors capable of highly detecting only desired odorants.
The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) today announced the addition of two new distribution methods to their Patient Satisfaction Benchmarking Survey: Interactive Voice Response (IVR) phone and web-enabled survey distribution methods.
