The AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation's Connections for Cardiovascular Health program today announced it will award nearly $3.7 million in grants to 19 nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving cardiovascular health in local communities.
Connie Krabbe understands the fear and foreboding breast cancer survivors feel when visiting their physicians for post-treatment check-ups. Two of her four sisters died of metastatic cancer related to breast cancer, enduring bone, brain, and ovarian cancer before succumbing to the disease in their early 50s.
Every nine and a half minutes, someone in the United States is infected with HIV, and one out of every five of these individuals doesn't know it. To help stem the spread of this disease, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today approved an innovative new diagnostic tool, which will allow patients to be diagnosed earlier than ever before.
Nottingham researchers are leading a study to test the effectiveness of a controversial drug in the treatment of a common loss of vision.
