New research has revealed the shocking plight of some of Australia's most vulnerable citizens.
The decision regarding treatment following breast-conserving surgery for patients diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in-situ (DCIS) has long been an area of discussion and confusion for patients and physicians alike. While the mortality rates for DCIS remain low, the risk of local recurrence in the breast is high. Standard treatments following surgery include radiation therapy and hormone treatment.
By now, the research is quite fundamental. However, one of the authors, Igor Potemkin argues that the creation of the perfect nano-capsules for targeted drug deliverywould be possibleon the basis of the reported system in the nearest years, and the production will be relatively cheap.
The Vascular Disease Foundation's Venous Disease Coalition announced the launch of its new VTE Toolkit, A Practical Overview for Health Professionals. This toolkit was developed by the Venous Disease Coalition (VDC).
