Aviv REIT, Inc. announced today it acquired four post-acute and long-term care skilled nursing facilities ("SNF") in Washington, an assisted living facility ("ALF") in Washington and a campus in Idaho, which includes a SNF and an ALF, for a total price of $83.6 million.
A new survey of stroke survivors has shown that those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are less likely to adhere to treatment regimens that reduce the risk of an additional stroke. Researchers found that 65 percent of stroke survivors with PTSD failed to adhere to treatment, compared with 33 percent of those without PTSD.
The findings reveal that patients infected with alpha, beta, gamma, and delta variants have a higher risk of hospitalization than those infected with the original viral strain that emerged in Wuhan, China, in late December 2019. The study is currently available on the medRxiv* preprint server while awaiting peer review.
