Children's own temperament could be driving the amount of TV they watch – according to new research from the University of East Anglia and Birkbeck, University of London.
A three-year follow-up study has shown that an alternate treatment for obstructed arteries in the leg may be warranted. The results are from a clinical trial comparing primary nitinol stent implantation with balloon angioplasty. This examination of the study provides a long-term assessment of the two procedures, which is favorable for the primary stent.
Spanish researchers have employed for the first time adult cells extracted from a human heart to turn stem cells from adipose tissue into cardiac myocytes. In other words, they achieved to "reprogram" adult stem cells, which might improve treatments for heart disease therapeutical.
Biologics contract manufacturer Omnia Biologics, Inc. (Omnia) (Rockville, MD) and drug development company Aparna Biosciences Corp. (AparnaBio) (Rockville, MD) today announced a deal for Omnia to provide AparnaBio with process development and production services. Omnia will provide lentiviral vector technical services as well as manufacture of research grade through cGMP grade materials.
