Physicists from The University of Texas at Arlington are leading a multidisciplinary project with The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to develop a new multifunctional platform that can integrate imaging and photo-induced cancer therapy in a single, portable device.
Pfizer Inc has been commended by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its approach to addressing climate change. CDP named Pfizer to its Climate Disclosure Leadership Index, which highlights the company's climate change disclosure practices. This is the third consecutive year that Pfizer has been recognized by CDP.
Schizophrenia is a major public health problem. Affecting almost 1% of the world's population, it takes an enormous economic and social toll in addition to the distress, dysfunction, disability and mortality for those afflicted with this disease. I was a police officer, a chief of police, but this disease brings everyone to their knees — no one is tougher than cancer."
Intraoperative neuromonitoring of the bladder and internal anal sphincter can accurately predict postsurgical urinary and anorectal function, research suggests.
