"After fourteen years of being stuck in Congress, legislators in the Philippines finally put to a historic vote and passed the Reproductive Health Bill before dawn Thursday," Inquirer.net reports.
Researchers at Portland State University have developed methods for measuring levels of free-base nicotine in electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) liquids and vapor, the levels of which are associated with harshness upon inhalation of e-cigarette vapors and tobacco smoke.
MedPro Safety Products, Inc., a leading developer of transformational technologies that enable safer medication delivery and blood collection systems, has purchased product development rights for a unique, fully passive Insulin Guard self-injector from Visual Connections, owned by Hooman Asbaghi. Mr. Asbaghi is the inventor of MedPro's fully passive phlebotomy collection devices, which include two versions of a safety blood collection holder, a passive IV catheter, and a safety blood collection set.
Neuropsychological impairment has long been established as a fundamental characteristic of depression, but a specific pattern of impairment that is widely recognized has not been summarized.
The survey was conducted by Liberty Mutual Insurance and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). They looked at 2,300 eleventh and twelfth graders and found more than one-third of teens who have driven after using marijuana say the drug doesn't distract them from driving. What's more, one in five teens admitted to driving high. In addition the survey found 13 percent of teens said they had got behind the wheel after drinking, while 19 percent did not consider drinking a major distraction.
