One year after recommending that children should be checked for high blood pressure starting at age 3, medical experts reviewed additional supporting evidence for the pediatric blood pressure guidelines at the American Society of Hypertension's Twentieth Annual Meeting (ASH 2005).
Parents generally teach their children about "stranger danger" from an early age, telling them not to talk to, walk with or take gifts or candy from strangers. But statistics show danger often lurks closer to home. According to numbers provided by the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse, the vast majority of children who are sexually abused are abused by someone they know - most often a family member, an adult the family trusts or, in some instances, another child.
Genmab A/S announced today that on March 23, 2010 Genentech, Inc. and Biogen Idec, Inc. filed a declaratory relief complaint at the US District Court, Southern District of California against Genmab's collaboration partner GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for patent infringement under US patent No 7,682,612 based on GSK's manufacture, marketing and sale of Arzerra™ in the United States for the treatment of fludarabine and alemtuzumab refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
Early reports have shown the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a decline in patients seeking outpatient medical care.
