Scientists from the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSU SOM) in Detroit will present the world's largest study that shows the long-term results of fast neutron radiotherapy (FNRT) in the treatment of localized prostate cancer. The American Academy of Nursing today inducted seven editors and editorial board members of Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) nursing publications as Academy Fellows. Seven years ago, state leaders working to close a $9.9 billion budget gap took a hatchet to government health insurance for children of the working poor. Gradually, benefits were restored to the Children's Health Insurance Program and, this month, enrollment reached roughly the same level as in 2003.
Cerveau Technologies, Inc. today announced a research collaboration agreement with Eisai Inc., which will enable Eisai to use Cerveau's [F-18]MK-6240, an investigational imaging agent, in Positron Emission Tomography scans to assess the status and progression of neurofibrillary tangles in the brain.
