Taking vacations could prolong life. That's the finding of a 40-year study presented today at ESC Congress and accepted for publication in The Journal of Nutrition, Health & Aging.
A new study, presented at the 66th Vascular Annual Meeting presented by the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) reviewed data on the influence of contralateral carotid occlusion (CCO) on carotid endarterectomy (CEA) and carotid artery stenting (CAS) for which there is a paucity of conflicting data.
Researchers at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden have developed the first method for directly measuring the extent to which drugs reach their targets in the cell.
New data to be presented at the Annual Congress of the European Respiratory Society (ERS 2012), in Vienna, Austria, will shed light on the current and potential future role of tiotropium, the first once-daily long-acting inhaled anticholinergic for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
