The Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is ramping up its relief operations in response to flooding in Pakistan. Over three million people have been affected as the worst flooding in 80 years wreaks havoc across 70 per cent of the country. Both products are available for immediate shipment to wholesalers and pharmacies nationwide.
YAKULT HONSHA CO., LTD. announced on August 20 that its collaborative study on the incidence of acute diarrhea with the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases in Kolkata, India, showed that daily intake of "Yakult" is efficacious in reducing the incidence of diarrhea in young children.
Children with cancer have a good chance of surviving the disease-today more than 80 percent survive because of advances in treatment and care. However, recent studies have shown that some of these more than 420,000 U.S. childhood cancer survivors face future health-related challenges as they become adults such as a second cancer diagnosis, cardiac failure, or other severe medical complications.
The 2008 HIV/AIDS Implementers' Meeting in Kampala, Uganda, closed on Saturday with participants calling for an increase in efforts to prevent the spread of the virus worldwide, Xinuahnet reports.
