YoCream International, Inc., raised $8,000 for the Brian Grant Foundation at a fundraising event held at their Company Store in Portland Oregon. The Company and Foundation announced that all sales revenue generated on July 31st at the YoCream Frozen Yogurt Company Store would go to support Parkinson's awareness, education and research and Portlanders showed up in crowds to show their support. Grant was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's at 36.
The study reveals that the education and management programs developed and put into action by the National Asthma Council, Asthma Foundations of Australia and other Australian organisations in asthma have proven effective and can be adapted by other countries.
Frequent e-cigarette use does help smokers quit -; a finding that Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers say supports the use of e-cigarettes as a cessation aid for those trying to quit cigarette smoking. But, they note, an examination of a recent national survey uncovers important clues about who's successful at quitting and why.
Texas Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn in a letter to lawmakers on Wednesday said a five-year contract with an Accenture LLP group that administers enrollment for Medicaid, the state's SCHIP program and other social services "must be ended" because of mismanagement, the Houston Chronicle reports.
