Despite receiving billions of dollars in taxpayer money, Medicaid insurers are lax in ferreting out fraud and neglect to tell states about unscrupulous medical providers, according to a federal report released Thursday.
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that though most Americans continue to oppose the health law, they support many of its provisions. Meanwhile, news outlets continue to report on what the impact would be - both in terms of people and the markets - if the law is overturned and these provisions are rolled back.

Japanese scientists have come up with a new method of preserving human embryos which will make the process of freezing them safer and more reliable.
A pilot study of 45 middle school kids shows that more than a third of those screened had abnormal levels of blood sugar or high cholesterol. Two had blood sugar levels in the diabetes range.
