Biogen Idec and Swedish Orphan Biovitrum today announced that the first patient has been dosed with the companies' long-lasting recombinant Factor VIII Fc fusion protein (rFVIIIFc) in a global registrational clinical trial. Yet, 63 percent of Latinas who have lactose intolerance worry the condition keeps them from consuming important nutrients, such as calcium and vitamins A and D.
