Allos Therapeutics, Inc. has announced preliminary top line results from PROPEL, the Company's pivotal Phase 2 trial of pralatrexate (PDX) in patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), at the 50th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology (abstract 261).
The House easily gave final approval to a rare revision to the health care reform law Wednesday -; and what's even rarer is that it's flown under the radar all week. Following the Senate's unanimous vote last week, the House voted 422-0 to undo a health care reform provision that would have allowed some middle-class individuals to qualify for Medicaid.
"Pre-emptive treatment of children living in regions where malaria is prevalent only during the rainy season could avert 11 million cases and 50,000 deaths a year," the journal Nature reports, adding, "The estimates are based on the world's first guidance on seasonal malaria chemoprevention, issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) in March."
