Radient Pharmaceuticals Corporation, a US-based pharmaceutical company, announced today it has entered into a collaboration agreement through its wholly owned subsidiary AMDL Diagnostics, Inc. (ADI) with CeTeCancer - a Chilean-based research laboratory - to validate the effectiveness of Radient Pharmaceuticals' Onko-Sure™ in vitro diagnostic (IVD) cancer test as an early detection and prevention test for lung cancer.
Functional psychosis can be diagnosed from the first indications of the patient, thanks to affective symptomatology. Depressive moods, hyperactivity and lack of concentration are affective symptoms that can present themselves during the first psychotic episodes, and the presence or absence of any of them may contribute to differentiating, at an early stage, between the different variations of the mental disease.
Professor Morris is principal investigator on a new, five-year $3 million National Science Foundation (NSF) grant that establishes a Partnership in Research and Education in Materials (PREM) at CCNY in collaboration with the University of Chicago's Materials Research Science and Engineering Center. The "overarching goal of the partnership is to develop methodology for description of material dynamics" as an emerging branch of materials science.
According to preliminary research adults whose mothers develop late-onset Alzheimer's disease may have an increased risk for the disease, compared with children of dads with late-onset Alzheimer's. The findings were presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference 2011.
