Scientists have found that Pycnogenol, a natural plant extract from the bark of pine trees, can reduce jetlag symptoms by half. Pycnogenol is the patented trade name for a water extract of the bark of the French maritime pine (Pinus pinaster ssp. atlantica), which is grown in coastal southwest France.

DSM Biologics, a business unit of DSM Pharmaceutical Products, today announced the signing of a contract with NKT Therapeutics, Inc. based in Waltham, Mass, USA, the biotechnology company that focuses on developing therapeutics based on unique immune cells called natural killer T cells.

"Various groups have asked the government to look into CVS Caremark's practices since drugstore chain CVS bought pharmacy benefits management business Caremark Rx Inc in March 2007. They claim that changes to services in the pharmacy benefits business since the acquisition have led to higher prices, compromised quality of care and pushed patients to choose CVS drugstores over other pharmacies."
