Results from the VeriStrat biomarker analysis of a multicenter Phase III trial were presented today at the 2nd European Lung Cancer Conference currently being held in Geneva, Switzerland. Results showed that the VeriStrat test identified patients who were likely to have a survival benefit from treatment with erlotinib, a commonly prescribed oral therapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer.
Titan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today reported that the company expects to receive a royalty payment of approximately $55,000 on second quarter 2010 sales of Fanapt (iloperidone) of approximately $693,000. This reflects a significant decrease from first quarter sales which, as is customary, included substantial initial product stocking in the distribution channels.
Researchers at 17 medical centers across the country soon will begin using the hormone progesterone to treat patients who experience traumatic brain injury (TBI). The treatment is part of a randomized, double-blind Phase III clinical trial that will enroll approximately 1,140 people over a three- to six-year period beginning in March, 2010. The trial is funded by a grant to Emory University from the National Institutes of Health.
