Nursing researchers have come up with an answer for health care systems and professionals struggling with how to most effectively adopt evidence-based practice in their clinical settings.
Status epilepticus, prolonged seizures, can lead to significant neurological deficits and, rarely, even death. The anticonvulsant diazepam, a first line therapy for the condition, is neuroprotective when administered in high doses within two hours from seizure onset. Researchers at the 64th AES Annual Meeting now report that the combination of low-dose diazepam and NS-398, a COX-2 inhibitor, has twice the neuroprotective effect of NS-398 alone.
LinkMed's subsidiary AbSorber has received patent protection for its transplantation cross match-test XM-ONE® in the European countries. The patent was previously approved in New Zealand which was the first country to approve a patent for AbSorbers product. The European countries are highly prioritized markets for AbSorber and the patent approval is an important milestone in Absorbers intellectual property strategy.

Genelex Corporation (Seattle) is now offering Tamoxitest(TM) that could improve this success rate to greater than 90% by addressing both of the common causes of tamoxifen treatment failure.
