On Wednesday 14 October, WHO will launch new guidance: Ethics & vector-borne diseases. The guidance document is a culmination of more than three years of work and will be a valuable new tool to support global efforts to prevent and control vector-borne diseases (VBDs).
Perrigo Company today announced that it has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to manufacture and market over-the-counter (OTC) Cetirizine Cherry Syrup, 1mg/ml. Shipments will begin in the Company's fiscal first quarter 2011. Cherry joins the currently available grape flavor cetirizine syrup in Perrigo's product portfolio, giving patients a choice of store brand flavors.

Leslie Wilson, professor of biochemistry and pharmacology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, said that the antifungal drug, griseofulvin, has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in his laboratory.
