Pfizer and Pain Therapeutics, Inc. announced that a Complete Response Letter was received from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the resubmission to the new drug application (NDA) for REMOXY® (oxycodone) Extended-Release Capsules CII. Pfizer is working to evaluate the issues described in the Complete Response Letter and plans to have further discussions with FDA around them.
Spectral Diagnostics Inc., a Phase III company seeking FDA approval for its lead theranostics product for the treatment severe sepsis and septic shock, today announced initiation of its U.S. pivotal trial of Toraymyxin™, a therapeutic hemoperfusion device that removes endotoxin from the bloodstream, for patients with severe sepsis.
As baby boomers and their parents age, many stumble across an unsettling surprise — elder abuse that occurs in both institutions and the home.
