Research shows a unique T cell receptor repertoire in MIS-C patients

The underlying T-cell associated mechanism is described by researchers in a new study published on the preprint server bioRxiv in November 2020, as a response to superantigen activation.

MD Anderson initiates Phase 1/2 entinostat-lapatinib ditosylate combination study in metastatic breast cancer

Syndax Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a clinical-stage epigenetics oncology company, announced that investigators at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Department of Breast Medical Oncology have initiated a phase 1/2 study combining Syndax's lead product entinostat with lapatinib ditosylate (Tykerb) in patients with locally recurrent or distant relapsed metastatic breast cancer previously treated with trastuzumab (Herceptin).

Covidien analysis finds lower incidence of GI adverse events with topical NSAIDs versus oral

Covidien, a leading global provider of healthcare products, announced the results of an analysis that will be presented at the American College of Rheumatology's Annual Scientific Meeting. A pooled analysis of safety data suggests that patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) receiving the topical PENNSAID® (diclofenac sodium topical solution) 1.5% w/w had significantly fewer gastrointestinal (GI)-related adverse events than those receiving an oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
