Southampton researchers have identified a blood profile that could help identify COVID-19 patients at greatest risk of deterioration and direct them towards trials of specific treatments that could modify their immune systems' responses.
People are often concerned about the accuracy of testimony given by victims who were intoxicated during a sexual assault- but a new study by University of Leicester researchers has found that while alcohol intoxicated participants report fewer pieces of information about an assault, the information that they do provide is just as accurate as sober participants.
Trius Therapeutics, Inc. announced today that 13 posters will be presented at the 49th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC) supporting the potency, efficacy and safety of torezolid as a potential new antibiotic for the treatment of severe skin infections caused by gram positive bacteria including MRSA.
