A tea kettle, buzzing cicada or screeching noise? Tinnitus suffers are being invited to use a new online, sound matching tool to help better understand their type of tinnitus and the potential treatments that might be able to help them.
There are known racial and ethnic disparities in death due to traumatic brain injury and a new study has now examined if there is an association between TBI mortality and where a U.S. veteran lives.
Angiosarcoma Project, a patient-partnered genomics study, identified immune checkpoint inhibition as a potential treatment option for patients with angiosarcomas of the head, face, neck, or scalp, according to data presented at the fourth CRI-CIMT-EATI-AACR International Cancer Immunotherapy Conference.
Taking small tissue samples from patients with lung cancer and examining them under a microscope (a procedure called histology) is now being utilized to better tailor the chemotherapy treatments to improve survival in some patients with non-small cell lung cancer, according to a study presented at the 2008 Chicago Multidisciplinary Symposium in Thoracic Oncology, cosponsored by ASTRO, ASCO, IASLC and the University of Chicago.
U.S. not-for-profit hospitals and health care systems continue to focus more on managing and reallocating their investment portfolios in order to provide capital stability and growth as well as building cash reserves.
