Immune Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that it has amended its 2003 Licensing Agreement with Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc., a subsidiary of Endo International plc. As a result, Immune will transfer to Endo its previously licensed patents related to the use of topical lidocaine in acute and chronic back pain and Endo will grant Immune a royalty-free, non-exclusive, fully transferable license to those patents.
Researchers from Taiwan have confirmed a bidirectional relation between schizophrenia and epilepsy. The study published today in Epilepsia, a journal of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), reports that patients with epilepsy were nearly 8 times more likely to develop schizophrenia and those with schizophrenia were close to 6 times more likely to develop epilepsy.
In a report released Wednesday, New York-based Human Rights Watch "accused the United States government, the World Bank and other international donors of indirectly funding forced labor in Vietnam's drug rehabilitation centers," Inter Press Service reports.
The new Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai will be dedicated on Thursday, March 1.
