Ocular Therapeutix, Inc. announced today initial results of their sustained release travoprost-loaded punctum plug feasibility study for the treatment of glaucoma. This travoprost punctum plug (OTX-TP1) was evaluated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in subjects with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension over a 30 day period.
People with Type 2 diabetes have an excess of a protein called islet amyloid polypeptide, or IAPP, and the accumulation of this protein is linked to the loss of insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells.
The Western Australian State Government must act immediately to save the lives of children in WA and toughen anti-smoking legislation, the AMA (WA) said today.
