In a preview of a Jan. 24 magazine article, The New York Times reports on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's struggle to keep members of his caucus in line on health reform. In December, for instance, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., told a talk show host he would not support the health overhaul plan without significant changes, surprising the majority leader.
Though it is generally accepted that the GOP repeal effort is finding little-to-no traction among Senate Democrats, some of these lawmakers are urging House GOP leaders to move fast to undo a small health law provision that requires business to file certain tax forms. The provision, which is not directly related to health care, is a revenue raiser for the sweeping overhaul, but has been very unpopular in the business community.
There may be some good news for people with vestibular migraine, a type of migraine that causes vertigo and dizziness with or without headache pain.
A study in Nature Genetics illustrates the large impact of genetic variation on risk for schizophrenia.
