Micrus Endovascular Corporation (Nasdaq: MEND) today reported financial results for the three and six months ended September 30, 2009 and increased fiscal 2010 revenue guidance.
Researchers from Boston University's Slone Epidemiology Center have found that in a given week, over 10 million Americans are taking opioids, and more than 4 million are taking them regularly (at least five days per week, for at least four weeks). These findings appear in the August 31 issue of the journal Pain.
By Thursday, lawmakers must make decisions about who among their aides will be obtaining health insurance via the health law's online marketplaces. Many GOP senators have plans to place their staffers on the exchanges.
Claims that men binge drink to feel more macho and women drink to feel more equal to men are among the motivations that will be explored over the next two years at the University of North Carolina Wilmington as CROSSROADS, UNCW's substance abuse prevention and education program, seeks to identify, address and change gender-specific attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that contribute to high-risk drinking.
