Traumatic brain injury (TBI) affects many Americans: high school athletes, drivers and passengers in motor vehicle accidents, and victims of domestic violence, to name a few. Some of the most striking effects of brain injury are seen in our soldiers and veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Two University of Utah researchers are teaming up with the Department of Defense to investigate the long-term effects of TBI in these returning soldiers.
As part of their efforts to improve the effectiveness of both security and clinical workflows in the healthcare delivery process, Sentillion, whose identity and access management (IAM) solutions are the most widely implemented in healthcare, today announced their participation in the "Steering Committee on Telehealth and Healthcare Informatics" Healthcare Information Technology Showcase on Thursday, September 24th on Capitol Hill. Erbitux (cetuximab), offers another option for patients who have colorectal cancer that resists standard chemotherapy treatment, according to an article written by two Mayo Clinic cancer researchers published in the current edition of the New England Journal of Medicine.
