A 12-year study of two measles-containing vaccines, published today in Pediatrics, found that seven main adverse outcomes were unlikely after either vaccine.
Heart problems cause disturbed gene activity in the brain's memory center, from which cognitive deficits arise.
"The United Nations' World Food Program [WFP] is appealing for $87 million to avert starvation in Zimbabwe's rural areas where close to two million people need food aid," VOA News reports, adding, "The U.N. agency says because of poor rainfall, this year's hunger season in Zimbabwe has started earlier than in the past."
When overweight adults exchange refined grain products - such as white bread and pasta - with whole grain varieties, they eat less, they lose weight and the amount of inflammation in their bodies decreases. These are some of the findings of a large Danish study headed by the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark.
